
CWA represents 700,000 workers in private and public sector employment in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico in 1,200 chartered CWA local unions. In 10,000 communities across the United States, CWA members work in telecommunications and information technology, the airline industry, news media, broadcast and cable television, education, health care and public service, law enforcement, manufacturing and other fields.
Among CWA major employers are AT&T; Verizon; General Electric; the New York Times and Wall Street Journal; United Airlines and American Airlines; NBC and ABC television networks; the Canadian Broadcasting Co.; the University of California, the state of New Jersey and various law enforcement agencies across the country.
The Communications Workers of America (CWA) is led by an Executive Board that governs the union between conventions, ensuring strong, democratic leadership for all members. Our national officers are President Claude Cummings Jr. and Secretary-Treasurer Ameenah Salaam. They are joined by Vice Presidents elected from seven geographical Districts, including District 9's Frank Arce, alongside sector leaders representing key industries like Telecommunications (Lisa Bolton), Public, Health Care and Education Workers (Margaret Cook), The NewsGuild (Jon Schleuss), and the Association of Flight Attendants (Sara Nelson). This diverse and experienced board, which also includes at-large diversity members like Gloria Middleton, Vera Mikell, Reginald Small, and Keith Gibbs, is dedicated to advancing the rights and economic justice for all CWA members nationwide.
CWA Local 6327 proudly represents employees of AT&T Core and AT&T Mobility in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan and surrounding areas, as well as the AT&T Mobility Broadband Tech-Care Call Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Neesha's journey into the heart of the union movement began as a Technical Support Representative for DirecTV. When presented the opportunity to join in 2017, she didn't just join—she plunged immediately into action!
Driven by a fierce belief in collective power, Neesha became an indispensable force on the Organizing Committee, tirelessly working to bring the protection and dignity of a union contract to the DirecTV division in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Since those pivotal organizing battles, Neesha's commitment has never wavered. She has risen through the ranks, dedicating herself fully to strengthening the local, moving dynamically from an active Committee Member to the trusted role of Steward, and then demonstrating exceptional leadership as Chief Steward.
Her decades of relentless service and unwavering loyalty to her fellow members culminated in her well-deserved election as the local's Secretary-Treasurer in 2024.
Today, while employed as a Premier Service Consultant in AT&T Mobility's Broad Band Loyalty division, Neesha continues to be a living testament to the power of persistent, passionate union activism.

Since those crucial organizing efforts, Byron's service has been relentless. He moved swiftly and effectively through key activist roles, serving as a dedicated Mobilizer, a trusted Steward, and demonstrating powerful leadership as Chief Steward. Recognizing that the fight extends beyond the workplace, he also served as an active Legislative Activist, fighting to protect workers' rights in the political arena.
Today, while mastering his role as a Premier Service Consultant, Byron's leadership is recognized at the highest level: he proudly serves as the President for CWA Local 6327, continuing his impactful, career-long mission to strengthen the union and its members.

Laurie Love began her career with AT&T in 2010 in Liberal, Kansas, where she first joined the Communications Workers of America (CWA). In 2013, she was promoted to Assistant Manager and transferred to Lawrence, Kansas, serving in management until 2022. Returning to the role of Retail Sales Consultant, Laurie rejoined the union ranks and

In 2023, she became a Union Shop Steward, and in 2024 completed Political Activist training, actively supporting campaigns for union‑friendly candidates. In the fall of 2025, Laurie was nominated for Vice President of CWA Local 6327 and officially began her role on January 1, 2026.
Laurie is honored and excited to serve her members to the best of her ability and looks forward to growing in strength and numbers to improve the lives of American workers.
